Argentine international Dybala had to be substituted just after he opened the scoring in the first half of the Sampdoria game at the weekend due to injury. Juventus were able to record back-to-back league wins for the first time this season thanks to the 3-2 win at home to Sampdoria buoyed by the opening goal from Dybala. Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette has been ruled out of the London Derby clash with Chelsea this weekend after failing to recover from Covid-19. The status of the Arsenal striker ahead of the Chelsea game was revealed by the Gunners’ medical team on Thursday. According to the statement released by the Arsenal medical team, Lacazette failed to recover from the Covid-19 that prompted him to miss the Premier League opener at fellow London team Brentford.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said that French international Lacazette was ill in his pre-match press conference for the Brentford game played at the Brentford Community Stadium on Friday night alongside strike partner Pierre-EmerickAubameyang. It has now been revealed that Lacazette and Aubameyang were two of the four Arsenal players that missed the Brentford after testing positive to Covid-19. Brazilian winger Willian and Icelandic international shot stopper Alex Runnarsson also tested positive to Covid-19. The Gunners were said to have tried to postpone the game at Brentford to no avail after the four positive tests as mentioned above.

German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have reportedly ended their interested in Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi having tried to sign him in the previous transfer windows. The status of Bayern’s interest was confirmed by Times journalist Constantine Ecklervia Twitter. It was stated that the Bavarian giants pulled out of the bid to sign the Chelsea player due to their inability to offer him the six-figure weekly salary he earns at Stamford Bridge.

England international Hudson-Odoi broke into the Chelsea first team squadfew seasons ago and he went on to sign a long-term deal at the club to ward off the interest from Bayern Munich. The English winger earns more than £100,000 at Chelsea on the back of signing the new lucrative deal.
